Review Ex Machina Movie (Conspiracy of AI)
Let Me Introduce About Ex Machina Movie and What the Relation With Human and Computer Interaction
Ex_Machina is a psychological science-fiction thriller film, Alex Garland's friction. Ex_Machina is a film that relies heavily on advanced technology. Having positive and negative energy in this film, the idea of packaging technologically dazzling films and also the horrors of lost control caused. In my opinion, the film Ex_Machina has a pretty terrible basic idea about technology, and it could be a reality that humans do not control their creation.
A young programer named Caleb, won a big lottery held by his company. The prize for the draw was to spend a week in a luxury house owned by the CEO of a well-known company, Nathan. Maybe this gift sounds normal, but once you know where and how the CEO's house is, of course it will feel good. Nathan's house is very luxurious and sophisticated, houses that use cards for access, everything that happens in the house can be accessed perfectly, smart houses are pictured here, located on a mountain surrounded by amazingly beautiful scenery, rivers, waterfalls. Nathan is a great young programmer, experienced and very genius. Nathan is also the inventor of a super search engine called Bluebook, which is the most popular search engine in the world.
When they met, Nathan immediately revealed Caleb's true gift: showing and demonstrating his new creation he was developing. But before that, Caleb was required to sign an agreement that what Caleb saw must remain a secret. Nathan asked Caleb to see, evaluate and conduct a tour test on the project he was working on in secret, namely an artificial super intelligence (AI) engine. This is where we are introduced to the main character of this film, Ava, a robot in the form of a female human who has not been completely physically perfect, but with intelligence that is so perfect. Nathan asked Caleb to do a test on Ava to find out whether Ava had his own consciousness, was able to think logically independently perfectly, and be able to make his own decisions. Caleb, who was very excited to see the creation of his boss, was immediately excited about the test, which was carried out by talking directly with Ava during several question and answer sessions while he was there. Unexpectedly, Ava is very intelligent and able to communicate perfectly like humans. Physically, Ava's face attracted Caleb's attention, and conversations with Ava produced many results, including the formation of a separate emotional bond between Ava and Caleb.
Caleb is an orphan, stay single. This made his feelings for Ava more mixed up. What Caleb felt about Ava developed into a sympathy, to a feeling that might be falling in love. The question and answer session between Caleb and Ava was getting warmer and more personal, until finally Caleb felt sorry and wanted to free Ava from the "prison" made by Nathan, which is the room where Ava lives. All his life since Ava was created, he never left the room. Slowly Caleb saw that Nathan was a cruel "God" for Ava. One day, Ava asks, what will happen to him if he is considered a failure on the test being carried out by Caleb? This is where all the trouble begins, and all the bitter truth begins to unfold one by one before Caleb.
What is terrible about this film situated in its basic idea: how is it possible that in the future technology created by humans will have the ability to surpass humans themselves and seeing the development of AI in the present, of course this is very possible.

Relationship between Human and Computer Interaction with this film is the main user interface is a machine or robot. And the author will give a little explanation about the relationship between HCI and User Interface (Robot). From the book, it was explained that HCI came from various disciplines in the fields of science, engineering, and the arts.
In the film the robot created by Nathan has artificial intelligence. From language, thinking and getting to know the other person is all the artificial intelligence possessed by the robot Ava. In computer science, robots in the program match what humans do or rather robots can do what humans do like sleep, walk and talk. In this film also shows that the robot can have an artistic spirit, just as Ava (the name of the robot in the film Ex Machina) can make a picture of what he saw. The most important thing here is that the robot created by Nathan has Psychology like humans. From emotions, sexuality and so on. This confirms that human and computer interactions are not just human beings and computers, but are influenced by social, psychological, and organizational factors.
We can learn that humans and technology are indeed interconnected and needy. Humans need technology to simplify their work, technology requires humans to create and develop it. And in this film we can also learn, don't let the technology that we make is excessive so that it can endanger human life and become the world's controller. Artificial intelligence will be a terrible thing when intelligence and physical strength are already beyond human control.
